To all the people who like to remind me I'm not someone special, to all the people who like telling me to stop thinking so "highly" of myself, to all the people who like pointing out my mistakes, to all the people who like spotting all of the traits that make me just like every other human being, to all the people who like taking so much pride in trying hard to make me understand I'm nothing special, thank you, but, I do have something to ask you; don't you have better things to do?

Hello there, I'm the Earthian.

I know, for a fact, that I am not a big deal. I know, for a fact, that I haven't achieved anything big and I am very well aware of who I am and how I am. There is, in fact, absolutely no need to remind me of any of the above. I never recall coming behind for your opinions, and I try so hard not to sound rude when I tell this, just like I don't recall going after laurels and accolades. I want to remember the last time I did something to turn all of your attention on me, but I'm not able to, even though I believe I really have a decent enough memory. And what did you expect when you noticed things I have in common with other people? I am, in fact, a human being and its only okay for me to have things in common with other fellow human beings.

But please don't get me wrong, none of this means I'm going to start changing the way I treat myself. I still carry myself with the exact same pride, maybe a little more, dignity and honour and there just isn't a lot you can do about it. Its how I've been, I am and I will be. Because it works, for me. Period.
