Transactions.

Its funny how I get swarmed by people and get called their friend every once in a blue moon because I have something that they consider important. No, I don't have a problem helping them out, its all very much okay with me, but don't call me your friend if you're ever going to do this. That's my request.

It just doesn't feel right, to be called someone's friend for something materialistic, that too something that's transiently materialistic. And no, before you come to conclusions, I'm not personally offended or insulted. I'm not hurt or saddened. I just get irritated when you do this to me. Again, not against helping, but totally against being called a friend when there is nothing going on, nothing that's even remotely close to being friendship. You are however more than welcome to call it a transaction. Its easy, you ask for something, you get that something or not, depending on if I have that something and if I'm in a position to give you that something and Bam! You can go your way, and I can go mine. You don't have to feel obliged to exchange pleasantries with me, neither do you have to awkwardly smile at me everytime our eyes happen to meet by chance. We can be done for that instance. Unless you feel like you need more transactions, in which case you can approach me with little hesitation. I won't bite, ever. You can even pretend I don't at all exist. I totally wouldn't mind, I promise. What I would mind, however, is being called a friend and not being treated like one. That's all I ask you. Thanks.
