Competition

Being competitive is about becoming the very best versions of ourselves, and definitely not about trying to one up each other.

Here's a situation:

Company A posts an opening in a field that you and a bunch of your friends are interested in and only you come across it.

You can either take the route of keeping it to yourself and apply for it alone. The odds of you getting it is dependent on your profile. You may or may not get it. If you do not, neither you nor any of your talented friends got it and that's really just unfortunate.

On the other hand, if you decide to share the information with all of them, there is a slightly improved chance of at least one of you getting it, whilst still not lowering your own chances. That one friend can help you land a job in the organisation too, well, because friendship goes a long way.

And even if only they get a job, it's still good because you would have one more happy friend, and that on its own is a win.

Love, peace.
An Earthian.
