Life In The Shades.
Some of us are very open emotionally. That's the way we have been. And then there are those of us who just don't do so well when it comes to being emotionally open. Its these who find it hard to be open emotionally who oftentimes get termed heartless, when in reality, they just are very good at pretending to not feel anything.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
Being emotionally open means being emotionally vulnerable. And being vulnerable and putting ourselves out there takes a lot out of us. People don't just close themselves up for no reason.
Things happen, things always happen and when those things that make you lose faith in humanity happen and when they happen more often than not, you start shutting yourself off emotionally because a part of you just starts giving up on people. A part of us just starts suspecting people being worth it, worth all of the trust and faith. Because these people can't afford to lose any more. They can't afford taking another hit. They can't afford it because if they do, they'll lose themselves in the process. And that's why they'd much rather come off as the villain and be thought of as someone who is heartless. At the end of the day, it always hurts, to kind of always live under the shadows, desperately trying to keep up their originality. But they'd much rather feel this pain than the pain that comes off of being someone who continuously gets burnt for no real reason. Its a perspective, I agree, but definitely one to ponder about.
Lots of love, peace.
