Small Talk.

I admit it, I am not much of a conversationalist, not someone who has fancy stories with crazy adventures pinned in it. I really could be a bum with the things I have to say, the things I believe in and the things I have to ask. But I am okay being this way.

Hello there, I am the Earthian.

There is just something about me that refuses to co-operate with small talk. Apparently, small talk is the tool with which you establish a good friendship or any sort of relationship for that matter and I just am totally not someone who is interested in it. I mean, sure, a conversation about the muffin from a great bakery is fine to have every once in a blue moon but where really is the juice in it? Exactly what part about it is spectacular? At least spectacular enough to have a twenty minute conversation about it? I mean, the most I can talk about it is I can praise it with the best adjective I have in my vocabulary. Don't get me wrong though, I do in fact enjoy good food, just like I enjoy watching movies, just like I enjoy listening to music, just like I enjoy doing other activities. It's just, I am not someone who is willing to spend too much time trying to build a mountain out of such a molehill of a topic.

Want to talk? I'm all for it. Let's talk about you. Let's talk about your biggest dreams and where you are at accomplishing them. Let's talk about the real you, forget about who you are on the surface. Let's talk about what you've always wanted to talk about but have always hesitated to do so because of the fear of being judged. Let's talk about what keeps you up at night and what's brings you down during the day. Let's talk about what your biggest fears are and let's talk about how you want to conquer them. Let's talk about what get's your blood pumping. Let's talk about your problems, let's talk about your pains. Let's talk about everything that makes you you and let's talk about everything that you want to make out of yourself. It's just, we have very limited time here and small talk isn't worth it. Let's make it count, whatever we have left, shall we?
