Haven

You know how sometimes when things happen repetitively, especially when those things that don't necessarily feel good happen, we start shutting ourselves down? Or is it just me who does that?

Hello there, I am the Earthian.

At times like this, the ideal thing for me to do would be to go to my room and never ever leave it. If not for any reason, it's safe in there. Extremely safe.

Now this room that I am talking about needn't necessarily be a physical room. Sometimes, it can just be a safe haven inside of our minds. Sometimes, it's a secret safe inside of our hearts, sometimes, it is in fact a physical room. We go into these rooms because nobody can touch us, here, right?
Well, the news is that if we go into these rooms often enough times, we'll get used to it. You might ask me what's wrong with getting a little comfortable, and it isn't, in fact, in any way wrong. It's just sometimes, we don't know what we're missing out on. And if that's ignorance you'd accept, by all means go for it. But there is just always the chance of things getting better and if we close ourselves so tightly, we just might miss that chance.
I get it though, I get why you'd want to not come out of that haven. But do consider it. Birds that are meant to fly shouldn't be caging themselves. It just doesn't feel too right. But you always know best.

Lots of love, peace.
