Facades Vs Masks.

You know, facades are really, really marvellous. I mean, until you actually get extremely close to wherever a facade has been built, you won't even know that there exists a facade.

Seriously, until you actually get extremely close, you'll have no idea of what's behind it. Now physical facades are cool, sure, but think about the facades people have built. Think about all of those facades that we build just to not get caught by people or at least not get caught by the wrong ones. They are not even like masks. I mean, masks are a way of of portraying ourselves in a fake way. There is absolutely nothing fake about facades. People don't build facades to get into the good books of others. They do it to not get themselves hurt. They're just protective in nature, designed to keep themselves safe and they'll only be breached with consent, unlike masks which can literally be ripped off when times get fishy, a topic for another day.

I mean, think about all the times you've thought or assumed you know someone but have gotten surprised by them. That's what a mask does.

Now think about those times you've gotten really tight and close to someone and then when you both are having a real connecting moment, you realize there just is so much more to that someone than what you've been exposed of them.
The fact that you realize that there is so much more to them than what you know of them is the very first indication of the presence of a facade. It's a good sign because they've actually let you know that there is a facade. Maybe they'll let you further in, maybe they won't, you'll have to wait and watch.
