Flocks.
The thing about human bonds and human connections is that people can never be replaced. Like, when we lose someone we didn't actually mean to lose but lost them anyway, we just can't find someone who's exactly the same way and replace the one we lost with them. It just doesn't work that way.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
They may even look similar, but the character can never ever be replaced. No matter how many friends you make to make up for your lost best friend, it's never going to be the same with the other friends that you make. Not that one is better compared to the other, it's just going to be really different. And anything that's different needs getting used to, to get comfortable. This only goes to show how unique people can be, people are.
I guess this is why when we find our flock, we refuse to leave that flock for another one, unless there is a big spat in which case the flock falls out altogether, with a part of each member of the flock's heart yearning and wishing to go back to how things were and another part just trying to find out who's to be blamed for the shattered flock. That's when each and every person of that flock gets really, really skeptical when it comes to getting acquainted to newer people. A. It's never going to be the same for us and B. If it turns to be special in a different way, it's just scary to go through another shattered flock situation.
Either way, whatever is meant to be, will always be. So having an open mind wouldn't hurt, I guess. But at the end of the day, it's all up to you really. You can isolate yourself which is fine, or you can have the doors slightly open, just to feel the breeze.
Lots of love, peace.
