Poison.

I guess its fairly easy to say "its just senseless of someone to voluntarily jump into a pond filled with poisonous snakes". People tend to forget not all poisons act the same way. Not all of them are equally lethal.

Hello there, I am the Earthian.

Some kill us instantly and these are usually the ones that we associate with the adjectives like deadly and lethal. And I agree, in the most general sense, they are. They are everything that they are claimed to be as. But then, there are those kinds of poisons that take a lot of time to get even get accepted as poisons by everyone else. The kind that when they are accidentally injected once, get us hooked to them so that the future injections of the same are no longer accidental. They supposedly are pleasurable and sure, they are, just not so much in the longer run. And if you ask me, they are so much more lethal than those self-proclaimed deadly ones. Because these have the potential to kill us multi times. Not just once. And these, more importantly, aren't obviously lethal. We only know of them once we're at least knee deep. Anything striking your mind?

Love, peace.
