Misfits.
I only get reminded that sometimes people like to be listened to, and that its, sometimes, so much better for me and them to just let them speak. Because the silence that follows the noise that they produce is so much more valuable than what they would make me endure had I not allowed them to just speak their hearts out.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
But the problem becomes a tad more peculiar when they want you to be the listener. Not just any random dude, YOU, specifically. Because with you, they feel at home. With you, they feel comfortable. With you, they feel like they can be themselves. With you, they find peace within themselves. With you, they don't have to build a facade or hid behind a personality that is not them. With you, they find the ability to trust the voice that they know they have deep within you. With you, they understand that they are so much more capable than what they've pegged themselves to be. With you, they realize their worth as human beings. But, sometimes, when all of this is pushed, you become negatively relevant. Not only does the value that you bring to the table slowly starts fading away from their memory, the value that they think they bring to the table gets magnified too. And slowly, you'll become a shell of yourself, purely because you've spent time with people who "value" you, because you want to be of some help.
Its not spite or anger that they have within themselves. Its also not that they intend to make you lose your peace. It sometimes is just a misfit. And maybe you just are at the wrong side of the spectrum.
Love, peace.
