Not all of us are built the same way is something I wish I could make people understand. People very easily assume that just because we all are humans, we all should be the epitome of what people want us to be. So many standards for us to meet, so many opinions for us to look after and just so many obligations we are obliged to be under.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
And calling all of this unfair is putting it very, very mildly. It's not even funny, the analogies people bring up. And no matter what, we'll always be coming just short of actually accomplishing the task of finally making up to them. The bar they set is completely imaginary and them wanting us to knock it out of the park is just plainly absurd.
Yes, sometimes, it pisses me off. I wasn't built to do things people around me want me to do. I wasn't built to be in the good books of people, I wasn't built to be dissed for mistakes I didn't even commit, I wasn't built to be compared with anyone, I wasn't built to be praised or cursed. I wasn't meant to do those things that make me socially acceptable in the most generic ways.
I am here to be me, the best version of myself and you bringing up the names of random people that you want me to look up to is not in the least way going to help me, or anyone else for that matter. So yeah, you can constantly stay disappointed in me. I am not in the least way going to try to change that about you. Feel free to even let me know about how much I let you down by not being up to the "mark", whatever the hell that mark refers to. I'll happily be me and you be, well, whatever you want to be. No more labels.
Love, peace.
