Every now and then, people like showing off their true colours out to the whole universe. That's when you catch them red handed and allow yourself to refrain from connecting with them further.

Usually, people are very good at hiding who they are, very good at hiding what their true intentions are, their true motives when they mingle with you are. It is not everyday that they show that side of theirs, but they do do it the moment you let your guard down, even if it is just for a second. It will all happen too quickly for you to react then because you just might be in a state of trance for you never in the least would have expected them to behave the way they did behave.
They, though, because you didn't react to them, would just assume you didn't notice it and try to be their "usual" self with you. But you know better than to accept them, don't you? Not suggesting that you should just shut them out completely, but I think you know where I'm going with this. I know a part of you would still want to give them another chance, hoping that they did what they did only because they were in a bad state of mind. I know you'll want to give them as many chances as you possibly can ever cook up, making excuses for them, on their behalf, to your own self and doing all of this just in the hopes of them turning out to not be the person they showcased themselves to be, but Alas! they are who they are and you, you'll just have to eat that fact, no matter how much you hate it.

Good thing about this though, is the fact that sometimes, if you're especially lucky, you'll meet some really beautiful people and I mean staggeringly beautiful people, mind numbingly beautiful people. So, don't shut yourself off just yet. The right ones may just be around the corner.
