Cards.
It's really funny how everything that we worked really hard to build can break in just a few seconds, maybe even shorter a period. It's hilarious how nobody remembers all the effort that was put into building something when the "point of destruction" arrives.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
Goes to show how consistently inconsistent we are. Any variation that we observe would make us more skeptical, and even the slightest misunderstandings would drive a nice and big gap between us. Once we get comfortable and once that comfort is broken, things never go back to being how they used to be, no matter how much effort is being put into it. That's just how it works. We like holding on to memories, especially bad ones, to remind us to never commit the same mistakes twice. But what we do forget in the meanwhile is that not every mistake is a mistake done on purpose. Not every incident has to have someone who takes blame. Sometimes, it's neither parties', mistake. It's jus, the cards that life dealt us aren't the prettiest. And things also have a very good knack for escalating and getting out of hand and which just makes it even uglier.
Sometimes, it's no one's fault. Yeah, people change, yeah, it hurts, yeah it eats us up from the inside, but there really is not a lot that we can do about it. Except maybe try and hold on to the good memories that we had with them. It's so hard, I know, but it's the only viable option out there.
