Denying The Truths.
They say, that if you believe in something hard enough, whatever it is that you believe in, may start appearing true, even if whatever you're believing in is completely false or partially false.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
Take a fake monk for example. By a fake monk, I mean a person who literally pretends to be a monk and portrays a person who he isn't to the outer world. Now in his mind though, he is almost convinced that he is a monk; he is almost convinced that he is pious, righteous and good. He wants to believe this from below the bottom of his heart. But every now and then, his true colours get shown. The colours that he doesn't want to believe exist in him, but nevertheless knows are in him. So when you actually point out to him his colours, he gets flushed with anger and finds ways to spin tales so that he can still maintain the image of a monk that he has built about himself and has started to believe in.
There are those who fail to understand that they have "flaws". Just like we all do. It's our "flaws", they are (flaws) going to stand out and they are going to eventually be known. And we can only deny them for as long as they aren't known. Even then, we'll only be fooling ourselves. Owning who we are is a trait a lot of us are still learning to do. A part of becoming a better person, ridding ourselves off of the "flaws" is owning them. It is only after we own them can we decide whether or not they actually are flaws. And if they really are, who's ever going to stop us from improving?
Lots of love, peace.
