Demure Creatures.
When parts of you get locked out of you for a long period and when situations make you unlock those parts of you, it is going to be extremely hard.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
This especially applies to people who are fond of emotionally shutting themselves down. I'm not sure if a lot of people do it but there certainly are a few of us out there, lurking. These people are demure usually and are extremely cautious when in situations that require social interactions. These people do have interesting things to say but because they've shut themselves down emotionally and because they've been that way for a long while now, they just tend to forget that they indeed are interesting people too.
You might have come across a few people in your life whom you've always thought were interesting. One day you catch them eating quietly by themselves, munching their food down with their gaze set on something as simple as a passerby squirrel, the next day you again catch them only this time, they're reading a book, perhaps even a comic book, with a twinkle in their eyes that just portrays how into the book they really are. The next day, you again catch them and this time they're layed down, relaxed, with their headphones on and a peaceful expression in their eyes. You go up to them and say hello. They stumble and soon mumble back a hello to you, with a lot of awkwardness but also with a genuine smile. You start noticing them a lot more often, and you find them doing interactions with people and you realize you weren't the only one they were awkward to. Even though you did want to get to know them, a part of you didn't want to make them uncomfortable either. You notice this constant wave of disappointment in their eyes but you are also cautious about them because you don't want to chase them away.
So you settle to just being around them, popping out a "hello!" or even a "good day!" at them and receiving just as much as you gave them, from them.
Something about these demure creatures has always rendered them interesting. And even though you are convinced these are incredibly good hearted people, there are parts of you that are curious as to who these people really are on the inside and why they are the way they are. You always feel like they didn't have to be the shy and, might I add, sad people they seem to be.
They for sure have a story. May not be a story that you're expecting to hear but they definitely do have a story. If you're really interested, lock them in, keep being around and one day, if you're lucky enough, you might get to hear glimpses of their tale.
Lots of love, peace.
