Novelty.
The truth about us, humans, is that, we all are novelty seeking creatures. The craving for excitement and the blood-rush through our veins, giving us chills all the while is what we call pleasure and we all are after it. And none of this is in any way wrong.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
The part where we don't want to work for these pleasures is where it all get's a little fuzzy. Especially because we live in a period where we don't necessarily have to do the work in order for us to experience the best of the novelties.
We have enough drugs to get addicted to, enough kinds of alcohols to get high on, all fancy ones too, enough pointless activities to engage in like extreme gaming and binge watching T.V. shows with exactly the same plots over and over again with very little changes which they like referring to as plot twist. And we can do all of these with a click of a button and maybe with enough practice, do it with our eyes closed. There is no mandatory part that requires our effort these days and we are just happy about the fact that we don't have to do anything.
Maybe working for it sounds a little old fashioned but actually doing is worth it from what I've heard. We all might actually want to try that, work for something really, really hard.
Lots of love, peace.
