Missing Block.
You know where the flaw is? The flaw in the plan of us not being egomaniacal? Yeah, the flaw is in the roots. Because, ever since we were little kids, we were taught to respect others. We were taught that people will respect us when we respect them. But I think, no matter how idealistic it sounds, it just isn't the reality. Hell, we barely even look out for each other, let alone respect each other.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
Isn't it kind of ironic? To be taught something and to be witnessing something that's exactly the opposite of what's been taught? It's certainly not new, but is definitely ironic.
I mean, what is that, that makes it so hard for us to not actually practice what we love to preach?
What is that missing cinder block that keeps the complex construction of human morality incomplete and self-contradictory?
The value of something is understood only when that something comes to our hands. Like, a golden necklace. We are always aware it's precious. But we only feel it's preciousness when it really comes to our possession. The same applies to people. Only, we can never posses another person, another life for that matter. So, we usually have a hard time understanding how important the few people we have in our lives are.
So what can be done to understand how important people are and why it's crucial to treat each other well?
Simple, the answer is "self-importance". We never truly get taught about how important we are and we will always be. So, it's very understandable that we don't quite understand how important our life is. When we start treating ourselves properly and with respect, we understand the preciousness of life. We understand not only is it important to treat other people well, but treat every form of life well.
That's how we build harmony.
Lots of love, peace.
