A Friend.
I don't know why, but, no matter how strongly motivated I am, no matter how positive I am, no matter how cheerful I am, no matter how much I try to be all of these things, I do end up feeling weak and meek at times. I try and convince myself things are going to be okay, which is true too. But to hear those exact same words from someone else, someone I trust, someone I know who cares about me, someone who is a friend, is always a little reassuring.
Hello! I hang out here, calling myself the Earthian. The name is not patented, feel free to call yourself one too.
But why is that? Why does it feel so comforting when a friend tells you that things are going to be okay?
It's very simple. It's because there aren't a lot of people who do that! Most friends, or "friends" want to party, get together, have fun and then just disappear from our lives. And then there are a few who just share out their negativity to us and just make us feel like we made the biggest mistakes of our lives, making things a lot worse than they actually are. They just blow up the balloon by pointing out the obvious and they keep doing it, in the name of caring for you.
And if you are someone who thinks the people who do the above things are your actual friends, you'd never realize that you are being tricked and that you are falling down until you hit rock bottom when everyone just deserts you.
The truth is, there aren't a lot of people that actually want to be friends with us. People only mingle with eachother because they feel the need to do it. And when we need someone, instead of wanting them, there is never going to be the feeling of home, for anyone. This is why, when an actual friend, no matter who they are, where they are, what they do, tells you that things are going to be okay, you feel it. You feel the warmth of home.
Lots of love, peace.
