Survival instict.
A very commendable trait about human beings which I admire, appreciate and sometimes question, is the human survival instict.
We have never been the ones to quit. We have never ever been the ones to accept defeat. We have always overthrown all of the obstacles that we have ever had in our paths and we've done a mighty good job out of it.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
But is this trait of ours a good thing at all the times?
Whilst it's great to think about how we really have made it through all that's been thrown at us, how we have collectively reached a place where we can ascertain the fact that we are the most dominant creatures on the face of this planet, the fact that we have been the reason for so many of the biggest losses of this planet too is noteworthy. Sometimes, we tend to lose our consciousness about what we decide to do at certain scenarios. Emotions like jealousy, pride and bitterness invoke the monstrous sides that we tend to carry deep within ourselves. And those sides of ours are very much capable of destroying what took years to construct, in seconds, much like tsunamis. And before we know it, we would have caused massive destruction.
But, whatever happened in the past is past. I think it's safe to say a big issue we have in our hands right now is climate change. And I think it's also safe to say thay it's us who are solely the reason for it and that it's our responsibility to take immediate and necessary actions to fix it. Because we can only fix a leaky faucet while its leaking and not when it gets broken.
Lots of love, peace.
