Life.

I've been told that life is a race and if I don't run fast enough I'll soon get lost and hence lose the value of it. I've been told life is a mountain, it only gets steeper as we keep climbing and even if we lose our focus for just a second, we'll fall down, thrashing hard. I've been told life is so many things and honestly it's come to a point now where I think all these comparisons are just ridiculous.

Hello there, I'm the Earthian. One that would be happy if you called yourself one too.

Everyone has their thing to compare life with. Some say life is like a forest, deep and dark. Some say it's an ocean with unknown depths. Some say it's a song with incomprehensible lyrics. Some say it's a story with an unknown plot. Some like to call it a game. Some like to call it an adventure while others like to call it a mystery.
And it really gets me. Like, is life really all these things or at least any of these things? Or is life just... life? I mean, why can't it be just life? Why does it need to be everything else but life? Why do we put so much of our time trying to describe the indescribable?
When we call life any of these things, we are knowingly or unknowingly, telling out exactly how we feel about life. We show the world exactly what we think about it and we try to get our opinion approved by the world. And for some, most, seeking approval becomes their life.

Let me tell you, life is anything. It can literally be anything. It be anything you want it to be and then some. It can be anything you want it to be, as long as you still have it.
And there's no guarantee for it, my friend. So don't wait for the right definition for it to come around. Go make your own definition of it.

Life is just an opportunity. An opportunity to live. As simple as that. An opportunity that is forcedly given to you. But, an opportunity that can be worth it. So, why not just live?

Lots of love, peace.
