Sacrifice?
Why do we feel like we are giving up on something huge when we make a little sacrifice? I mean, why do we make a big deal out of everything? Why is everything like moving a mountain to us?
Hello all, The Earthian here.
So, to be honest, most of us want to be successful, without losing anything. We want to be rich, happy, peaceful, prosperous, glorified and dignified, without losing much. As much as this would be nice, this is almost a fairy tale. You see, that's not how life works, most of the time. The point of making sacrifices is not to make you realize that you need to lose something to gain something, but to make you aware that giving up on certain things is a part of progress. For example, just because the steam engine worked then, doesn't mean we should still use it, does it? It had its time. We moved on to bigger and better things.
Just like that, everytime you make a sacrifice, you are actually enabling yourself to endure more. Because the bigger your sacrifices are, the better things you're moving forward to.
Now, does this apply to all the situations?
Absolutely. It may not seem like it always, though.
Giving up on something and sacrificing are almost the same thing. They both fetch you good results. But only one of them will make you progress. Giving up essentially means that you're saying goodbye to an old trait that you used to have. Sacrificing, on the other hand, means that you're moving forward to something bigger by pushing your limits beyond what you think you could. That's all there is to it, really.
I hope you realize that you are not the only person that has made sacrifices in this planet. Lots of love, peace.
