Reasons?
It's only after a long time that I realized something really big. And I know this may sound a little too "cheesy" for some of you guys, but it is what it is.
Hello all, The Earthian here.
So, my big realization was that, we are all entitled to be happy. Period.
Most of us, just choose to not be happy, by putting in constraints to ourselves. We bring in various rules and regulations to stop us from being happy.
When I say that we are all entitled to be happy and it is us that is stopping ourselves from being so, what I mean is that we bring in various factors into the picture. For example, if you want your hair to look a certain way, and you think it would make you happy, but you haven't done anything about it yet, list out the reasons for it. Most of the reasons would be like "The society won't approve of this decision of mine", "I might be called a weirdo for having my hair like this", or even at times we have these modesty thoughts like "will I be looking too good in that kind of a cut and hence not get it?". At the end of the day, we are only looking at reasons to not have something that we absolutely adore, instead of just going there and doing it. We don't even compare the pros with the cons most of the time. I mean, if there are limits for all things, then why not on modesty and doubts? Like why can't we be like "Enough with these thoughts of mine, I'm going in and doing it."? It's just something to think about.
Something to be noted here is that this is just the first article of a few, where I'll be elaborating more on these lines. So please don't misinterpret that I'm supporting illegal stuff here. I'm absolutely not, by the way.
Peace.
