Silence
Have you ever felt that your words are sometimes your biggest enemies? I mean, do you ever regret about the words you spoke? I know I do.
Hello all, The Earthian here.
I know it sounds very cliche but it is something I've realized recently. Sometimes, many times, silence is a really good friend. Think about it. Let's say a person has really offended you. Deeply and truly. Now you have two choices. You can either "get him back" for whatever he had done to you or you can just leave all the work to silence.
Of course you may want to go for #1 because it gives you immediate "redemption". But in order to get this "redemption", you will be doing something just like what he did to you, even though it is against your morals. You will be doing it out of sheer hatred. You will be someone you never wanted to be in the first place. Still, at the end, you will be getting the redemption you "wanted".
Now, think about #2. This allows you to do only one thing. Be silent or to put it lightly, ignore. The perks of this is that you will not be losing your positive qualities and will not be giving place to negative ones (anger and hatred). You will also be able to forgive, forget and move on after reaching a certain point.
You and I both know that I'm right on this one. So, why not try it? The next time you want to hurt someone, remind yourself of a great medicine, silence.
Lots of love, peace.
