Missing Out.
I'm in a lot of businesses but one business I'm not in is the business of feeling sorry for myself. I'm not in the business of pitying myself and making a scene. I have, at least, been trying to grow in that aspect because I want to make sure that I do not feel like I deserve things I didn't earn. And sometimes when you feel sorry for yourself, you start believing that you deserve things. And when that happens you start getting carried away and stop putting in as much effort as you need to, to get things done. No matter how close you got to achieving something, no matter how unfair it may seem to not be walking out the victor, when you didn't win and you think you deserved to win, it's just not smart for you. You believing in a lie, no matter how soothing it is to your own ego, is only going to worsen you and you do not want that. Take your losses, take those with a lot of pride but know you have to work that much harder to achieve whatever you missed. Just missing out on something and missing out on something by a large margin, on paper, are different things, agreed, but they still mean the same. You missed out. And that's okay. Just don't lie to yourself about it.
Love, peace.
An Earthian.
