Easiest Bits of Life

I don't know why people make a big deal out of the easiest things in life. "I was so in love with her at first sight, and she totally broke my heart!". Hold on a moment, physical attraction is the easiest bit in any romantic relationship. The hard part is being committed and working through issues together. "The job pays so well but it ruined my life". Of course it's going to ruin your life, being driven by the salary is the easiest way to get lured by jobs. The hard part is learning the job thoroughly and being commited to it one hundred percent, there's a reason the job pays well, just so you know and not every one is cut out for it. I just don't get why people only focus on the easiest bits of life and then get disappointed when they start facing hardships. Did anyone at any point in your life promise you that life will be perfect and you'll be happy for the rest of your life? Happiness is a state of mind, independent of your situation and your comfort is something you have to constantly work on, to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Nothing should faze you, that's where your real mentality is tested.
