The fact that we've never really changed amidst all of what humanity has endured over these many years stands as a testimony for how strong we can be. Yes, there is a possibility that we've not changed, even for the good, but that takes nothing away from the tenacity of the human character.

What we probably will never really learn is that we can never change anyone, unless they themselves want to change. Heck, most of us can't even change ourselves until the time we find a suitable motive to change ourselves. Even if 99% of the population of the world agree to stay together and rally to bring about a change to the world which includes the other 1% as well, they will all fail, unless that 1% wants to experience that change innately. And I believe 100% unity is slipping out of our reach, maybe it has already escaped us and maybe even that is for the good. What I know for sure is that as long as you don't make others victims of your pain, as long as you live and let live, you're already doing your part. That's the simplest way I can put it in.
