Joy.
Intents matter. A lot. Actions matter more, that's just the way things work. Wanting people to do well is great, helping people do well is phenomenal. Hoping the world becomes a better place tomorrow is great, doing something about it to achieve it is exceptional. Wishing someone the best before any sort of test is great, helping them achieve what they want to achieve is amazing. You see what I mean? The same applies to negative things too, like wanting to hurt someone is definitely bad, but actually deliberately hurting them is shambolic. I think you get the picture. But do what you can, do the best of what you can afford to and try to maintain a heart with light and soft emotions. You literally lose nothing, absolutely nothing, by wanting the best for people. And this is indeed the holiday season, so consider spreading some joy. Wear a genuine smile on your face and consider helping someone out. Do your best.
Love, peace.
