What We Mean.
We never mean just as much to people as we think we do. We always mean more or we mean less. Usually less, as sad as it sounds. And coming to peace with this is hard. Especially when we don't mean as much to someone who means a whole lot to us.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
Sometimes, out of our ignorance or our innocence, we place people on a pedestal. And that has every chance of bringing a lot of pain to us. We treat them like they mean the whole world to us and we usually just get used. A part of us would always long for a small reciprocation from their end, which never will happen because we just don't mean as much to them. And when we finally realize it, it hits us really hard and puts us down, making us hurt really badly where it hurts the most. We are good enough for a lot of things, just not good enough to be in their thoughts, is what we would understand.
But the truth is that we don't have to mean much to them, we don't have to mean much to any person on the face of this planet for that matter. The only person who we need to mean something to is the person we see when we look at the mirror. Think about it, you live with that person for as long you're destined to live. You are never failed by that person. That person takes all the hits you give them and will still be with you. Does he not deserve to actually be put on the pedestal that you put someone else on? Try doing that. The moment you understand your self worth, the moment you realize that you too deserve to be happy, the moment you realize that there is not a thing in this world that you aren't capable of doing, the moment you realize that you actually mean something to yourself, the moment you realize you've got a friend for yourself in yourself, the moment you realize that you have what you would need for the whole of your lifetime, the moment you realize that you matter to yourself and that you deserve a smile or two, you will find yourself being amidst the best company. Do indeed try it.
Lots of love, peace.
