I'm surprised at how quickly negativity can seep through our veins and occupy our brains. I mean, all it takes is one negative thought, one mild incident, one shallow mishap, one tiny hurtful word, to burn down the whole of our brain for a long time. Not only does the brain become cloudy at these moments, it also gets smoked. Smoked, as in, even if good deeds happen after the event, the negativity is what that would prevail.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
And I wonder why this is not the case with positivity. I mean, it just isn't as addictive a feeling. It usually lasts for only as long as a matchstick lasts, to put it in perspective. Short bursts of momentary happiness. I literally wonder how it would be if we could literally make that sustain throughout the day.
Maybe its because we have, for so long, been taught that happiness is something we need to work for, that it is something that comes with a lot of sacrifices, that it is something that comes with a lot of effort, that it is a result of the "hard-work" that we do, that it is what we'll achieve in the future if we struggle for it now, that it comes in the form of worldly possessions, that it depends on whom you spend your time with, that it is directly dependent on how "productive" you are, that it is straightly associated with fame and glory and most of all, that happiness is always a bi-product of something that we do.
Sadness though, is luckily not that way. All it needs to take control of us and ruin us is one simple moment, like I've mentioned earlier. Everything that it brings along with itself will automatically just come into the picture too. Funny? Interesting? perhaps. Ponder.
Lots of love, peace.
