Inhibitions.
I think it's fair to say that each and every single one of us have our own fair share of inhibitions and insecurities. Whats also fair is the fact that it is completely, one hundred percent, okay for us to have them. Are they necessary? Maybe not, but is it okay for us to have them? Totally.
Hello there, I am the Earthian.
But sometimes, we gloat about our insecurities. We may not do this consciously but we do definitely do it and that is what tells the whole world about whatever it is that we are insecure about. No matter what it is, whether it's our inability to tie our shoes' laces, our inability to change something that we know is not good about us, some habit that has been controlling us, our inability to form bonds with people, our inability to trust ourselves, our inability to accept ourselves, whatever it may be, when we start gloating about them, when we start telling the whole world about them, when we start accepting them and even getting accustomed to them, when we start making them who we are, that's when it is a problem. When we do all of this, we make our insecurities our identity. We start identifying ourselves off of these insecurities that we have. And that is only going to do one thing; make us more and more insecure by the second.
Sure, our insecurities are a part of our identity but that's not where we start and that sure as hell isn't where we end. We are so much more than our insecurities. Literally so much more. We are not just what we look like, we are not just what we do, we are not just whom we spend our time with, we are not just how we spend our time and we surely are not just what we are insecure about. We are so much more than all of that. How much more? Well, that is up to each and every single one of us to decide for ourselves. We can be how much ever we want to be, and absolutely nobody can take that away from us. You can decide who you are.
Lots of love, peace.
