Comfort Zones.
The thing about comfort zone and us being in it all the time is that it doesn't just create a sense of comfort, but it also comfortably makes us not want to work for better things in life. It limits us and we allow it to do so because it feels good.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
Take a small scenario to get the picture that I'm painting. Let's say that you want to approach someone. And let's you're also really, really shy. Nevertheless you want to do it. It's a very contradictory, tough situation that you've put yourself into. And here is where you turn your attention to the comfort zone. When you're desperately looking for an answer in a trivial yet divergent situation, you turn to your comfort zone. Not that it's a source of information or advice or anything of that sort, but you go to it anyway. It's just a collection of all your decisions that you've made in situations just like this. And it tells you that approaching them may just not be the right/best thing for you to do. And so you listen to it because it not only tells you a decision that you're comfortable with but also gives you an easy way out. Not to mention, it gives you one more situation which you can refer in future divergent situations.
I'm not, by any means, trying to tell you that your comfort zone is bad or anything on those lines. I'm just trying to say maybe you should just go for it. Give yourself a fair opportunity is what I'm trying to say. Maybe you'd like that too.
Lots of love, peace.
