Low Self-Esteem.

If you think you are special, if you believe you are special, if you know you are special, do not ever let anyone take that away from you. Because, guess what? You are special. You are very special and you deserve to be treated just how you think you should be treated. And if someone is against that opinion of yours, cut them out, politely.

We all have that tendendcy to let people talk badly about us and get away with it. We let people slide away with their sly remarks because they are our "friends", "family", people that we think we need and people who are supposedly important. But if you really think about it, real friends never hurt you. Real family always sticks with you. They don't make fun of your weaknesses, they don't laugh at you when you are struggling, they don't make you the laughing stock when you are stumbling, they don't call you names or offend you in any way or form. And, I admit it, finding these people is a very hard task. Most are the exact opposite.
Anyway, before I go off on tangents, we were never taught to stand up for ourselves. We were never taught to defend ourselves, defend our dignity when someone deliberately offends us without any remorse whatsoever. And when you get hurt, which is a perfectly normal response, you get called a kitten, a baby, a sensitive person or similar names. Which is why, I ask you to, no matter who the person is, never ever let someone hurt you and get away with it. Stand up for yourself, stand up for your morals, your dignity and your honour. Because low self-esteem is what that builds up in you when you don't stand up for who you are. And that just isn't going to do any good to who you are as a person. The more you let people get the best of you, the lower your self-esteem gets and what happens as a result is that you will be pulled down even before you take off and shoot for the farthest of stars. Ask yourself if that's what yoi want for yourself.
