Free Passes.

Yeah, a lot of people are bad. A lot are deceitful, unruly, unjust, untruthful and a lot worse than what all of these adjectives, put together, can describe. But it's not because of them the world is bad. It's because of the rest of us, who do absolutely nothing about all of these people.

Because let's face it, it's not them that dominate the world in numbers. It's not them who are in majority. It's us. It's us, who just witness everything, make unworthy comments and pass on to witness someone else making another mistake. We are too scared to confront them directly, too lazy to complain about them to the authority and are too stubborn to even be a proper and reliable witness because it just is too much pressure. Sometimes we hide behind someone "powerful" and not do what's right because we apparently owe to that powerful person.
We somehow are convinced that doing "small" crimes that aren't too bad is just a part of life. A part that we needn't be too bothered about.

The truth is, we allow this to happen because we, ourselves, want to do these activities or would want to do these activities, in the near future. So, by giving free passes to others, we reduce the feeling of guilt that we would possibly be facing. It is as simple as that.
