In a very big aspect, human beings are just like ants. We literally seek a leader and follow them blindly until the leader gets crushed. Then we follow the next in line, because, well, why not?
And everyone is okay with this, mostly because it is very easy being a follower than to ever try and step up to be a leader.

And to be completely honest, we don't even have to be a leader to shine like the stars we are. We just need to figure out what we are good at, we just need to start understanding better, what we seek in our lives. The issue with the most of us is not even the fact that we don't know ourselves.
It's just we are okay with not even knowing ourselves. We never take the time to look at who we are, who we could be, who we want to be. All we see is who we are and we are "comfortable" with that person that we are.
Let us be honest here. How often do we even look into the mirror, look into our own eyes and see the spark that we are searching for everywhere else. How often do we see the angel that can solve all of our problems in ourselves, when we look into the mirror. Self-convincing is a sad procedure, which everyone does to themselves with a frown on their faces.

There is never going to be a big break for us unless we bring it to ourselves. That is the law of humanity. And to accept that is, in my opinion, the hardest things about life. We can either live and be "content" with the person we look at when we look at the mirror or be the shining star that we sometimes see ourselves become.
