Belittle.
I like competition. Healthy competition. Competitions where people only promote themselves, work hard to get to the top spot and accomplish a mission along the way. But not all competitors operate that way.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
In fact, most competitors work in a very subtle way. A way in which instead of accelerating themselves, they decelerate other people. And they are even proud of it. There are those who, even though have not achieved anything, are ready to take away the little achievements that their competitors have. And these people could be anyone. Our "friends", our mates, our rivals even our family, in some occasions. They work right by our side and when we have the slightest of hurdles, they push us right down.
To win is something that is very different than to belittle. And what happens in most cases is belittling. Especially when there is someone who comes off as the "alpha" type competing against someone who is a little "beta". For many, the idea is to not just succeed. It is to be the only successful person. And hence, they try and ruin everyone else's works, which makes them the only victors.
I do not whatsoever understand victories like that and I just can't comprehend the ultimate goal of the people who pursue that. I guess people take the quote "Everything is fair in love and war" too seriously for they love what they do and they consider competitive as a war.
Lots of love, peace.
