Try.
Does respect come with age? Do I have to respect someone just because they are older than me? Do I have to listen to them just because they are apparently more "Experienced"?
Hello again, The Earthian here.
The answer to the above question is, "Yes" and "No". For most people it's a "Yes". Most actually believe, that respect comes with age, that just because they have lived longer, they know stuff. People like me, a little rebellious would usually not agree with it.
Maturity does not come with time, it comes with EXPERIENCE. You don't just deserve to tell people what to do just because they are younger than you. Respect is something that's hard earned.
Something to be noted here is, I'm not asking one to be rude and disrespectful. I'm just asking to erase the thought that respect is directly proportional to age. After all, one can always politely say "No" to an advice from a random older person.
In my opinion, taking advice from people about your dreams are pointless. The reason behind this is, their arrows don't point towards the direction yours is pointing in. People always feed their words of wisdom to you and try to make you scared of the path you are about to travel in.

You need to try. Trying is the single most crucial step. An obvious second step is not giving up.
Think before you listen to someone's words blindly. I've heard the pain of regretting about something that you never tried is far greater than the pain of failing.
