Motivation?

Why do we become bored of something that was once so very interesting to us? Why do most of us feel like we are done with the resolutions that we took for 2017? (And lots of previous years)

Hey there! It's The Earthian.

The biggest reason for us giving up on tasks that we ourselves took up, is the lack of motivation. A question that needs answering is "Why do we feel energetic and excited about the resolutions we take, while we take them and for maybe the next couple of days/weeks only?"
Well, to answer the question, wouldn't a  person that is severely cold be the happiest person to rest in a fire-places' inglenook? Just like that, because one's life has been so plain for a long, long time, one is just glad to have lit a spark in it. And a result of this is, they don't want to travel the extra mile(s) to actually keep the fire glowing.
To put it simply, a hasty decision without proper motivation for backup, is pointless.

Now that that's said, how to stay motivated? Does one have to look up to other people? Maybe. That's up to one.
In my opinion, if a person really wants something, with the whole of his heart and soul, he will do whatever that needs to be done to achieve it. No matter what the hardships are, how painful the road is, how many sacrifices he has to do, in order to achieve it. So the biggest motivation one can have for one's self, is one's own targets. The higher the target is, the more one will want to prove to one's own self. After all, the first person you want to be satisfied after a lot of blood and sweat, is yourself.
Just remember, you are your biggest inspiration and your goal(s)  is/are your biggest motivation(s).

To the best of time, cheers.
