Why strive?
I guess the question everyone asks when they are told to suffer and strive for a better life is "Why should I? When I can lead a "normal" life?" It is quite fair. Why should you, when you don't need to in the first place.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
My answer is, you shouldn't strive if you don't feel like it. If you feel like you're okay with everything that is happening around you, if you feel like everything is fair, if you feel content with whatever your boss gives you, if you feel like you've earnt just what your boss is giving you, if you're okay with being undervalued and overlooked. If you're okay with poeple telling you one day that you just aren't good enough, anymore.
If you think every one of those things is fair, go ahead and have a "settled" life, no idea what that means by the way.
The problem for me is, I don't just let anyone else decide for me. Anyone else decide what I deserve, what I've earnt. Anyone else decide how happy I should be. Anyone else decide what's good and what's not for me. I think I'm capable enough of doing that myself. And if a few hits is all it takes to get my life on my own track, then that's exactly what I'll do. Take hits.
Lots of love, peace.
