Gullibility.

I agree, the world is not the most righteous place. There are people who are always ready to take advantage of each other, cheat each other, pull each other down and destroy each others' lives and future.

Having said this, there is always a part of us that wonders what could we have done to avoid that misery causing event, a part that wonders if there is anything that can be done to ensure that the same sort of event doesn't happen again, that wonders what can be done to keep ourselves secure and safe.

Whilst there is no clear answer to that, because of the fact that we don't know what the future holds for us, there is something we can do. And that's learn to see things clearly. See and introspect things.

You see, like I've told before, we are mostly simple beings, despite our smartness. Note that there is nothing wrong in being simple. In fact it is the ideal way to live, if you ask me. Anyway, because we are simple, we let simple things seek our attention and we become all malleable. And because, most of us seek pleasure instead of happiness from life, we are easily cheated. People can just grab our attention, divert it and use it to their advantage.

The point is, we sometimes become gullible. We are made gullible and taken advantage of. We need to examine everything that's thrown at us and inspect all the aspects of the things that are given to us. We need to explore every nook and corner while we still have the chance because once we slip, we probably are going to have a hard fall.

Sensibility is key to being safe, being secure and there is only one person who can make you sensible and that's you.
