Open-mindedness.
What I find really funny about people is that, everyone believes that they are on the right side. Everyone believes that it is them who is fighting for the right cause. Everyone believes that justice is with them.
Hello all, I'm the Earthian.
Not just this, everyone (almost) also wants to convince other people to join them. Now, the funny part is, people don't realise the exact same thing. People don't realise just as much as they believe in their righteousness, others believe in theirs too. Or maybe they realise that, and just don't like that fact.
What this does is, separate people. Separate people into smaller groups of people. And then separate them again into an even smaller group of people until everyone is just singled out. We all know that is of no good.
So what's missing?
Open-mindedness. In order to co-exist with people, first of all, we must be ready to give people a chance. We must be willing to give people a chance. If we keep subduing people or avoiding people just to prove our righteousness, I'm afraid we are only proving the exact opposite. No wonder we keep getting the urge to justify our acts.
I've been told being open-minded is really hard. I can't help but agree with that statement. But the reason it is so hard is because our levels of tolerance are too low. We keep repeating the same acts of ours to somehow show the world our superiority.
Likeability comes into the picture only if chances are provided. You can't dislike something without ever trying it. When you do that, you're only missing it out. Because, you never know what you might like.
I will continue on this, soon.
Lots of love, peace.
