Introspection.
Nobody means to be mean. At least most of us, anyway. And at the end of the day we come up with a statement "We, humans aren't perfect".
Hello all, the Earthian here.
Sometimes I wonder if that is an explanation or an excuse.
The way I see it is that the phrase "We aren't perfect" should be used to console ourselves, not to convince ourselves that what we did was okay because there are millions of people who do it on a regular basis. Because, I feel like, deep inside everyone knows if what they're doing is right or wrong. Everyone knows what's true and what isn't. But because there is this "go to" solution that is "we aren't perfect", we readily feel okay, convincing ourselves.
Our emotions are a part of us. As much as we need to embrace and accept them, we must also introspect them. Because, more often than not, we do not think about what's wrong with us, as much as we think about what's wrong with other people. The more we start to do that, the more we understand what our flaws really are. We start to understand who we really are, we start building a proper relationship with ourselves.
Now doing this will not make us perfect, what it will do is that it makes us really understand what our imperfections are.
And that is what we need for a better life, a good life.
Lots of love, peace.
