Brave.

Bravery is not always about walking into a warzone with almost no ammunition left and getting ready to die for a good cause. It doesn't always have to do with sacrificing ourselves, putting ourselves on the line for a cause much bigger than us. Yes, that is very often considered supreme bravery but it's not the only thing that speaks of bravery.

Sometimes, picking your wounded body and retreating is brave for you know if you want to go farther, you have to stop right now. Sometimes saying no to your "friends" is brave. Sometimes walking away and letting what's bothered you for ages is brave. It's not giving up when you choose positivity, it's not giving up when you choose love, it's not giving up when you choose kindness, it's not giving up when you choose humaneness. It's okay to cry too, and it's okay to cry alone, that's brave, very brave of you, my sweet friend. Don't let anyone tell you you're not brave. It's brave to admit you're scared. It's brave to be vulnerable. It's brave to be human.
