Your Past.
At no point in our lives, should we be so attached to something or someone that forget to realize that the world doesn't wait for us to get relieved from the deadlock. I know of people who are stuck in the cracks of life, people who still celebrate their high school diplomas, their teenage sports medals, their college graduations and so on. Not that any of these achievements become invalid ever, but that you're no longer a high school student, neither are you a teenage athlete, nor the college graduate you used to be. When everything you look forward to in life are things that are no longer the reality, the odds of you getting stuck in the cracks and struggling are very high. You can be proud of those achievements, you can look back at them fondly from time to time and reminisce, but you cannot make your past your life. The rest of your life is very promising, provided you rise to it. It has so much hope for you, and it has so much for you to look forward to, but only if you choose to be present in it. The longer you stay in your past, the more time you spend not exploring your present and before you know it, you won't have enough time. Be present, wherever you are, however you are. There are always things to look forward to, things to love, things that shine a light.
Love, lots of it, and peace.
An Earthian.
