Emotional Rides.
A big part of keeping emotions in control is knowing when and where to express ourselves. A small part of us would want us to just blurt out all the emotions that we have inside of ourselves to the outside world irrespective of the situation and the scenario we are in. This, while it is of a freeing nature, isn't actually a really smart thing to do, only because when the wrong people get to listen and absorb our emotions, we give them unnecessary leverage over us which I'm sure we aren't intending to.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
But we aren't usually the ones in control of our emotions because of a lot of reasons, one of them being us being humans.
You see, us, humans are constantly waging wars with our emotions. We wage these wars because we try too hard to fit into the norm. The norm is very vast, so we'll have to talk about that later, but to put it simply, we want ourselves to be someone we could be proud of. For some, this person that they want to be could be someone who's rich, famous and whatnot. To achieve this, we start telling lies to someone we just shouldn't lie to, ever, We start lying to ourselves. We cheat our own selves, deceive ourselves and fill our brains with fallacy about ourselves.
Eventually, we end up hurting ourselves and it's when we hurt ourselves badly, we start losing control of our own emotions. Even now, we wouldn't recognize that its our own lies that's responsible for our breakdowns.
Maybe when we try and embrace ourselves, prioritize ourselves and respect ourselves for who we are, maybe when we stop lying to ourselves, we might have fewer emotional rides and more of our own true selves.
Lot's of love, peace.
