Are We Important?
I often ask myself if I'm important. Like, am I an important person? Am I someone who "matters"? Am I someone who is going to be missed, when I no longer exist? Am I someone who is of any value? Am I someone who's presence is being approved with respect?
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
And I know these sound like deep questions but they always seem to have very simple answers. My instincts tell me I'm not. They tell me no single individual is ever going to be important as long as he/she hasn't done anything that has invoked the power of unity, love and peace.
To many, this sounds corny but to me, it sounds strikingly and resoundingly true. Because what else could possibly be a better thing to live for than love, peace and unity?
The thought that the world isn't going to stop when I no longer am a part of it tells me a lot of things, but it doesn't tell me that just because it's not going to stop, it doesn't I shouldn't make it better, or at least die trying. Because we all can. Humanity can always do one better if it tries and it's about time we try really, really hard. There are those who have no morals whatsoever, ready to sacrifice themselves for evil and it's sheer cowardice to not be ready to fight for good.
Lots of love, peace.
