Love.
Today, is a day to make a change, he thought. He took a pen and a notepad and started writing down everything about what he thought is treating something with respect.
And the list went like this:
"One. Be polite. No matter how someone is. Don't be rude, it doesn't bring you any good.
Two. Be humble. There's no point in gloating about your victories.
Three. Be caring. The more you share your care, the more you'll be able to care in the future. It's the only thing that keeps replinishing itself.
Four. Be nice. It takes a lot to be nice. Start taking it.
Five. Don't ever treat someone the way you wouldn't want to be treated. "
Half way along the list, he realized he was describing one single adjective in various forms. In some ways or the others, everything he listed out meant the same thing. He realized he was describing everything that he ever wanted to give and receive from people.
He tore that paper off from the pad, and restarted the whole passage. Only this time, his list ended up being really short. In fact it only had a couple of words. It went:
"Choose Love." .
