Thoughts.
Out of my nineteen years and ten months old career as a human being, one thing I've always been taught is to think a certain way.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
There was always a right way to think and a wrong. Any thought that entertained science, mathematics, politics, sports and general knowledge were revered to be enlightenening and self-improving thoughts, and I was told that these are the thoughts that will help my career and be my guidance to all the issues that I might end up facing.
And then there were thoughts that were never entertained. Thoughts that involved imagination. Thoughts that involved improvement of creativity. Thoughts that widened the soul. Thoughts that took me to my happy place. Thoughts that made me feel excited thinking about them.
I was brought up in a way that made me feel guilty everytime I wanted to entertain a thought that would widen my imagination because I was told that there wasn't any need to imagine and think and because it's silly to entertain something that will never be of any value. I was told I'd end up being a fool if I choose my own way instead of the clearly defined paths made by generations of people. I was told that where ever the larger crowd is the right way to go.
It's sad that there is a right way to think and a wrong way to think. Sure, the kid who's taught to build towers with legos might end up making the right towers than the kid who's building his own idea, but at least the second kid is building his dream while the first is building someone else's.
Lots of love, peace.
