The Standards.
It takes me aback to see people trying to outshine the others by showing the world how "perfect" they are in their social networking media. Having the "perfect" storylines, shopping at the "perfect" malls, eating the "perfect" food, wearing the "perfect" outfits depending on the "perfect" locations, and more, are what that seem to the "perfect" life.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
And I'm not sure what it is that lures more and more people into following the seemingly perfect lifestyle. The efforts they put into showing off that perfection is very commendable, truly commendable indeed.
The need for "perfection", however, is what I fail to understand. Especially when it comes to "perfection" in physical appearance. It hurts me to know that there are standards for beauty. It gets to me that people are ashamed of their body sometimes, ashamed because it doesn't qualify as a "perfect" body, and they alter their structure just so it passes.
It all apparently comes down to what the majority of the people think is beautiful. Your say about your own body is irrelevant. The more followers you have on your social media, the more you qualify as a beautiful person, typically. And it is all very painful for me to accept or understand.
Lots of love, peace.
