Disparity.

Something that we need to learn to understand is that not everyone needs to agree with us. Not everyone is going to have to comply with whatever we have to say. Not everyone needs to share the same opinion that we ourselves have. And it's always necessary to know that our opinions needn't always be the "right" one, for there needn't be a right one.

And you can always reverse the meaning of that same sentence and understand that you always need to have an open mind towards others' opinions too because they matter as much as yours, no matter how nonsensical their opinions sound to you. Accept that everyone is entitled to a voice that you are too entitled to. And it's always okay to agree to disagree.
The reason I'm saying all this is because there is a huge disparity between those who share a popular opinion (which by the way isn't in any way wrong) and those poor loners who don't have a lot of voices seconding their opinions (neither is this wrong). And because of this reason, the ones that don't get a lot of back up get suppressed.

Voltaire once said, "I disapprove of what you say, but will fight to the death for your right to say it." That's what mutual respect is all about.
