I think it's time to stop trying to explain myself with an identity people can relate to and understand. Because often people try and ask me what I am, an introvert or an extravert or erhaps an ambivert, You know, a little bit of both.
Hello there, I'm the Earthian.
But before I answer that, do I need to be one of the three? Can't I just be, you know, myself? I mean why should I be able to identify myself with any of those categories?
The problem with identifying with any of those is the fact that I anyway am not going to be a hundred percent of one single type. We all have our own unique amount of introvertedness and extravertedness. One can almost never be a hundred percent of any one of them. I mean, it is literally almost next to impossible and with good reason; we are built in our own unique ways. We are special, just the way we are. We are good, just the way we are. There is absolutely no need for us to belong to a "category" which is completely defined by us, just to know how well to fit in, in a crowd. What is the matter if we don't fit in? Does it mean we're bad? Absolutely not.
The point is, there is too many of us trying to identify ourselves with the totally wrong kinds of categories. And when we realize there aren't a lot of us like us in the world we live in, we start feeling left out. It doesn't have to be this way. You, me, we are all special, just the way we are. What people look at as our weaknesses could very well be our strengths. So why not just own who we are?
Sound like a good idea yet?
Or do I need to be more convincing?
Lots of love, peace.
